Main attraction, nature & birding

Morning: National Museum exhibiting historical, Archeological, pale-ontological (Lucy or Dinkinesh) and many other findings. The Trinity cathedral famous for its unusual Ethiopian church architecture, Menelik II mausoleum encloses the carved marble tombs of emperor Menelik, his consort Taitu, and their daughter empress Zewiditu.

                          
After noon: Ethnological museum dedicated to a varied array of artifacts and daily objects relating to most ethnic groups in Ethiopia, Driving through the main street & avenues, Churchill road, the rail way station, Markato market , The former palace of Emperor Menelik II, Entoto mountain panoramic view and Saint Mary church. Optional: arranging night life at one of typical Ethiopian cultural folkloric dance.


Driving itinerary: Travelers exploring the city center by driving can stop at any one places of interest from the city center or take other options around the city center in a day or half day. Some main Places of interest in the city center include, Addis Ababa museum, Stephens’s church, ECA building, Jubilee palace, grand palace, Holy trinity  Menelik II mausoleum, Natural history museum, National museum, lions zoo,  Ethnological museum, Entoto panoramic view , St.Maryam church and the former palace of emperor Menelik II, Mercato, St.George church, Piasa and Washa Michael.
Walking itinerary can be organized by walking from either Meskel (Revolution) Square or Tewodros square. A possible walking itinerary can be started from Tewodros square continuing south along Churchill Avenue past Saba square to the junction with Ras Mekonen avenue following this east past the stadium to Meskel square and near by Addis Ababa museum.  From Meskel square continue north along Menelik II Avenue then head for Taitu Street passing Stephens’s church, ECA building, Jubilee palace and the grand palace.


Note that: the above one full day program can be customized into half day following the client’s proposal.
