Day 01: morning drive from Addis Ababa to the northern Rift Valley lakes with stops at the crater lakes of Debre Zeit for birding and photo. Continue driving to the Artificial Koka dam for more bird watching before you stop for lunch at the town of Ziway. You will drive to Awasa passing through the town of Shashemene. Awasa is situated on the shore of the same name Lake Awasa inhabited by varieties of birds and fishes. |
