Duration & Transport: 1 night/ 2 days( surface driving only) Attractions: Nature, and birding Day 01: morning drive from Addis Ababa to the northern Rift Valley lakes with stops at the crater lakes of Debre Zeit for birding and photo. Continue driving to the Artificial Koka dam for more bird watching before you stop for lunch at the town of Ziway. You will drive to Awasa passing through the town of Shashemene. Awasa is situated on the shore of the same name Lake Awasa inhabited by varieties of birds and fishes. Evening walk around the lake for bird watching/n Awasa in a hotel Day 02: morning sight seeing of the fish market on the shore of the lake and walk on the shore of the lake for more birds. You will drive to Langano for lunch and after lunch and photo stop you will drive back to Addis Ababa via the junction town of Mojo. |
