Duration & Transport: 3Nights /4 Days (flight & surface driving) Day 01: Morning transfer to the airport and fly to Bahir Dar. After check in to your hotel Morning drive to the Blue Nile fall 35km exploring the rolling country side. Then drive back to Bahir for lunch. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bahir Dar including the colorful market, the palace view point of the former Emperor Haile Silasse and the small scale cottage industry, where craftsmen specialize in making boats from papyrus reeds and nets for fishing. Overnight Bahir Dar in a hotel. Day 2: Full day Boat trip on Lake Tana (Crossing to Gorgora), to explore the lake and its known monasteries of Ura Kidane Mehret, Kibran Gabriel (Zege peninsula), Narga Selassie, and Debre Sina Maryam. Both men and women are allowed to enter these monasteries except Kibran Gabriel. All these monasteries are known for their beautiful location, serene environment and old church treasures including manuscripts, crowns, crosses and other artifacts. All except Kibran Gabriel are decorated with murals. O/n Gorgora in a hotel Day 03: Morning drive to Gondar and after lunch sight seeing tours that include the palace complex Fasil bath, Debre Birhan Silassie, the market and Piasa center . |
